BACK in May, Prince William hinted that he wasn’t exactly keen on expanding his family of five with his wife, Princess Kate. While touring St. John’s Primary School in Scotland, the dad of three made a joke about keeping Kate away from babies for fear she’d want another one herself. As Kate cradled a 10-month-old infant, the future king quipped, “Can you get my wife out of here before she gets broody?”
It seems Kate was able to change her husband’s mind. A source tells Star exclusively that the 40-year-old royal has been privately telling friends she’s pregnant with baby No. 4. “She’s glowing,” says the source, adding that Kate’s been shopping for baby clothes and having cravings for chips and pickles. “Kate’s been wanting another child for the past two years,” adds the source. The mom to Prince George, 9, Princess Charlotte, 7, and 4-year-old Prince Louis wasn’t the only one. “The kids have been bugging their parents nonstop for another sibling,” says the source. “It’s a dream come true for Kate.”
TOUCHING MESSAGE
The pair had the chance to tell William’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, the good news shortly before her Sept. 8 death. “There are whispers that William told the Queen just prior to her passing, which makes it even more of a blessing,” says the source. “They’d literally just found out. She was so happy for them.” A second source says the 96-year-old would’ve been thrilled to hear Kate and William were continuing to carry on the family’s legacy. “They knew how much the Queen loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She doted on them, especially the little ones.”
