SPRD to hold officials meeting

The Starkville Parks and Recreation Department is hosting an interest meeting for flag football officials on Thursday, August 17, at 6 p.m. in meeting room No. 2 at the Travis Outlaw Center. Anyone interested in officiating flag football should attend the meeting.

SPRD is looking for officials for the flag football season. The season will run from late August to early November, and officials can expect to be scheduled one to three nights a week, with three to four games per night. The starting pay for game officials is $15 per game. Past officiating experience is not required, although recommended, but an understanding of the game of football is required.
