AROUND TOWN ANNOUNCEMENT POLICIES
The Around Town calendar is a free service offered by the Starkville Daily News. The calendars runs daily as space allows. Announcements should be submitted via e-mail to life@starkvilledailynews.com by 2 p.m. the day prior to publication and be no more than 50 words in length. Religious events will be listed Saturdays on the Faith page. Recurring events will run on Sundays only. One-time events will run Monday through Friday.

◆ Work Keys Info Session and Practice — Ages 16 and Older, Key to Finding Gainful Employment on Monday-Thursday from 8:00 a.m.-noon at the J.L. King Center. Shakila Seals will be the Instructor
◆ Afterschool Clubs — Art, Fitness, Life Skills, Homework Help, Literacy clubs will meet Monday- Thursday from 3:30 p.m.5:30 p.m. at the J.L. King Center. Kayla Pratt will be the Instructor
◆ Create Your Own Income — Skills in Cleaning and Washing will be taught Sept. 18 and 25 from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at the J.L. King Center. Cindy Melby will be the Facilitator

◆ Toastmasters — Toastmasters meets every Tuesday from 6-7:00 pm in the Conference Room on the first floor of the Sportsplex. Toastmasters is a club that helps members improve their public speaking and leadership skills in a positive atmosphere. Come join us

This meeting will be concerned with electing cemetery officers, electing trustees, discussing membership requirements, explaining other cemetery policies, procedures, and regulations
◆ Shackouls Honors College “Pot of Gold” — MSU's Shackouls Honors College presents the outdoor production of THE POT OF GOLD, a Roman comedy by Plautus, Sept. 26 and 27, Griffis Hall patio, 6:00 p.m. as part of the Lyceum series. ◆ Celebrity Wait Night — Starkville Lion's Club's Celebrity Wait Night will be Oct. 3 from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at The Grill. The Starkville Lion's Club is a nonprofit that impacts people with hearing and visual impairments. We would appreciate your support by eating at the Grill this night, making donations, and enjoying good wholesome fun
