Lynx sign MSU's Richardson

MINNEAPOLI­S/ST. PAUL – The Minnesota Lynx announced on Monday the team has signed forward and former Mississipp­i State player Breanna Richardson to a training camp contract.

Richardson, a 6-1 forward from Conyers, Georgia, appeared in two preseason games with Minnesota in 2017, totaling 10 points and four rebounds. She posted highs of eight points and three rebounds on May 5 against Atlanta.

She is currently playing overseas in Israel for Bnot Hertzeliya where she is averaging 13.9 points, seven rebounds and two assists in 20 games.

The MSU graduate averaged 7.8 points per game and 5.1 rebounds per game during her four-year collegiate career. Richardson holds the school record for career games played (140) and became the 10th player in State history to record 1,000 career points and 650 career rebounds.
