Lynx sign MSU's Richard­son

MIN­NEAPO­LIS/ST. PAUL – The Min­nesota Lynx an­nounced on Mon­day the team has signed for­ward and former Mis­sis­sippi State player Bre­anna Richard­son to a train­ing camp con­tract.

Richard­son, a 6-1 for­ward from Cony­ers, Ge­or­gia, ap­peared in two pre­sea­son games with Min­nesota in 2017, to­tal­ing 10 points and four re­bounds. She posted highs of eight points and three re­bounds on May 5 against At­lanta.

She is cur­rently play­ing over­seas in Israel for Bnot Hertzeliya where she is av­er­ag­ing 13.9 points, seven re­bounds and two as­sists in 20 games.

The MSU grad­u­ate av­er­aged 7.8 points per game and 5.1 re­bounds per game dur­ing her four-year col­le­giate ca­reer. Richard­son holds the school record for ca­reer games played (140) and be­came the 10th player in State his­tory to record 1,000 ca­reer points and 650 ca­reer re­bounds.
