11 doubles and 27 runs batted in, while Allen has three homers, 14 doubles and 37 RBI.

Foscue and Josh Hatcher have three home runs and 16 RBI each.

Jake Mangum, a junior outfielder of the Bulldogs, has had a front-row seat in watching the newcomers develop. He knew it was only a matter of time before they understood the different ways to win games and now likes what he sees..

“When they started doing that, you saw them mature as players,” Mangum said. “I think a lot had to do with having more experience. It was really fun to watch all of the freshmen mature as people and baseball players.”

The freshman will receive even more valuable experience this weekend when MSU participates at the NCAA Tallahassee Regional at Florida State.

Jordan wasn't surprised to see Tallahassee as a postseason destination and believes the Bulldogs are ready for the challenge.

“We're going to go play hard and let the rest of it take care of itself,” Jordan said. “We're preparing and it's going to be a fun weekend for sure.”
