Kelly, Hill awarded COCO schol­ar­ships

The Coun­cil of Com­mu­nity Or­ga­ni­za­tions of Ok­tibbeha County Inc. an­nounced Tif­fany Ni­cole Kelly and Jaden Hill as the win­ners of its schol­ar­ship pro­gram.

Kelly is a grad­u­ate of Starkville High School plans to at­tend Mis­sis­sippi State Univer­sity, ma­jor­ing in Fash­ion De­sign & Mer­chan­dis­ing. She is the daugh­ter of Chris­tine Kelly.

Hill, also a grad­u­ate of Starkville High School, plans to at­tend Mis­sis­sippi State Univer­sity and ma­jor in Ki­ne­si­ol­ogy . He is the son of Iris Hill.

Schol­ar­ships are given in mem­ory of the late Mr. and Mrs. David Rogers, who con­trib­uted his time, en­ergy and abil­i­ties to­ward im­prov­ing ed­u­ca­tion and the de­vel­op­ment of the com­mu­nity.

The Coun­cil of Com­mu­nity Or­ga­ni­za­tions was founded in 1984 as a provider of ser­vices to the com­mu­nity. The or­ga­ni­za­tion ad­vo­cates self-reliance, self help, and cooperative ef­fort on jobs too big for the in­di­vid­ual.
