The Around Town calendar is a free service offered by the Starkville Daily News. The calendars runs daily as space allows. Announcements should be submitted via e-mail to life@ starkvilledailynews.com by 2 p.m. the day prior to publication and be no more than 50 words in length. Religious events will be listed Saturdays on the Faith page. Recurring events will run on Sundays only. One-time events will run Monday through Friday.

◆ EMCC Launch Pad — EMMC Launch Pad offers free classes in Adult Education, Workkeys Prep, ACT Prep, Employability Skills Training, and Basic Skills Training. We offer free test vouchers and other incentives for qualifying students. Classes are offered MondayThursday in morning, afternoon, or evening. PLEASE CALL 662-243-1985 for more information.

◆ Casserole Kitchen — The First Presbyterian Church a casserole kitchen every Tuesday and Thursday at 6 p.m.
◆Childbirth Classes— Childbirth classes will be every Tuesday from 5:307:30 p.m. at Emerson Family Resource Center. Call (662) 320-4607 to preregister. Katie Buys, DNP, FNP, MPH, Family Nurse Practitioner will instruct the class on infant and child care.
◆Active Parenting Classes— Active Parenting classes will be every Tuesday at 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Emerson Family Center.

◆Parent Cafe — Parent Cafe will be from 6p.m. until 7 p.m. June 28 at Emerson Family Resource Center.
◆S◆per Dads!— Super Dads! with Michael Jones will be at 5:30 p.m. June 28 at the J.L. King Center, 700 N. Long Street.
◆Baroq◆e and Bluegrass — MSU Master of Music Education Lab Choir presents BAROQUE & BLUEGRASS AT 7:30 p.m. June 28 at the Connection Building - corner of Lampkin and Washington Streets. Free concert features baroque pieces conducted by MME students accompanied by strings and “The World Beloved: A Bluegrass Mass” by Carol Barnett conducted by Peter Infanger and accompanied by a bluegrass ensemble.
