Ro­tary mem­bers give in­put on lo­cal de­vel­op­ment

Starkville busi­ness and com­mu­nity lead­ers gave their in­put on the statewide and lo­cal is­sue of eco­nomic de­vel­op­ment at the Starkville Ro­tary Club Mon­day. Mis­sis­sippi Eco­nomic Coun­cil (MEC) Pres­i­dent and CEO Scott Waller led the dis­cus­sion with an in­ter­ac­tive pre­sen­ta­tion that fo­cused on work­force de­vel­op­ment.

MEC aims to be the voice of busi­ness in Mis­sis­sippi by dis­cussing statewide and lo­cal is­sues with busi­ness and com­mu­nity lead­ers through­out the state.

“Our ini­tia­tive is sim­ply build­ing a sense of statewide busi­ness com­mu­nity and we think that's vi­tally im­por­tant,” Waller said. “We have to be uni­fied, par­tic­u­larly when we
