Bertron C. Hunt

Bertron C. (Bert) Hunt was born on September 3, 1934, and passed away at his home in Maben, Mississippi, on November 9, 2018. He was 84 years old. Bert worked for General Motors Corporation in Flint, Michigan, for thirty years. He retired in 1982 and moved back to the land he loved---Choctaw County, Mississippi. He met and married Cora Frances Turner Seawright in 1991 and moved to Maben, Mississippi, where they shared 26 wonderful years together.

Bert was preceded in death by his wife, Cora Frances Turner Seawright Hunt, his parents, Charlie Hunt, Sr. and Ethel Bright Hunt; brothers Charlie Hunt, Jr., Therrell Hunt, and Harold Dean Hunt; daughter-in-law Nancy Schwerin Hunt; and baby daughter, Miranda Lee Hunt.

Bert is survived by their children, Roland Hunt(Jackie) of Maben, MS, Tommy Seawright(Rita) of Starkville, MS, Jeffery Hunt(Sandy) of Starkville, MS, Phillip Seawright(Molly) of Mathiston, MS, and Michael Hunt of Maben, MS. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Services were held Monday, November 12, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. until service time. Interment followed at Double Springs Cemetery on Sturgis Maben Road. Pallbearers were Travis Hunt, Matthew Seawright, Jeremy Hunt, Austin Hunt, Austin Seawright, Quincy Cole, Andrew Cole, Ari Hunt, and Dylan Seawright.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Ackerman Church of Christ.
