EUPORA – It's been a trying season for the Eupora Eagles on the hardwood and they've been waiting for good things to happen.

With four seniors on the floor on Tuesday's senior night, the Eagles were hoping that there would be a happy ending in their home gym and they got just what they wanted.

Behind senior Jarrean Patterson's 28 points, Eupora rallied from a halftime deficit to put together a brilliant second half and beat Ethel 68-63. Three seniors were in double figures for the night as D.J. Patterson and Cam'ron Culpepper followed Jarrean Patterson with 14 and 10 points respectively.

“I'm so proud of those boys," Eagle head coach Eric Marshall said. "I've been around them all of their lives from since they were born to now. They've stuck together through adversity. It's been a tough year but they've kept coming to practice and playing together. I told them to make this something to remember forever and they came out second half and played.”

After starting the year 1-14, Eupora has suddenly found some rhythm late in the season and has won three-consecutive games with just one more regular season game to go. After that, the Eagles head to the Class 2A, Region 2 tournament in Bruce next week.

There were times earlier in the year that this particular team wouldn't have been able to handle the ups and downs that a game of runs contains. Eupora proved otherwise on Tuesday.

The Eagles started the game against Ethel 4-of-25 from the field and they were 10-of-34 at the half as they trailed 28-24. Many of the shots were good
