Hill takes plea deal in armed robbery
A Starkville man will spend a decade in prison after taking a plea bargain in Mississippi District 16 Circuit Court in Starkville.
Faijon Hill, 21, was scheduled to go to trial on an armed robbery charge. However, He pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of robbery, taking a plea bargain. He will serve a 15year sentence in Mississippi Department of Corrections with five years suspended. The charge stems from Hill's involvement in an armed robbery at the Camelot Apartments in Starkville on May 30, 2017.
Four others were arrested along with Hill, including Sydney Westmoreland, Rodriquez Norman, Marvelous Houston and Courtney M. Boyd.
All but Boyd were arrested later in the week by the Starkville Police Department and a U.S. Marshal Task Force.
Boyd was arrested a week later.
