Reid took over for LSU in the overtime period. He scored seven of the nine points for the Tigers in the extra frame to sink Mississipp­i State.

“That was an absolutely gut-wrenching loss,” MSU head coach Ben Howland said.

It's a quick turnaround for the Bulldogs as they look to bounce back. MSU hosts No. 5 Kentucky at home on Saturday at noon.
