Bardwell Road, on a 4.99-acre tract of land that was purchased by the 4-County Electric Power Association from the previous owner, Burns and Burns of Columbus.

The area is located on the eastern border of the Mississippi State University campus, which 4-County is attracted to because of its mixture of urban and rural loads, in addition to its sustained growth.

Over the last few years, 4-County says there has been a substantial increase in the number of apartment buildings in the area, which is growth the utility does not expect to cease in the near future.

The public hearing will be held on Thursday, Feb. 21 at 2 p.m. inside the Chancery Clerk Courtroom located at the Oktibbeha County Courthouse.

The courthouse is located at 101 East Main Street in Starkville.

The release from Presley’s office said citizens with concerns or questions will be allowed to speak as public witnesses and have their comments placed on the official record of the case before the Public Service Commission.

Site grading and preparation of the site is expected to begin by this September.
