Donations for Homeless Students — Starkville Oktibbeha School District's Project HELP is seeking donations of hygiene supplies, school supplies, school uniforms (new or used in good condition), socks and undergarments for homeless students. of the Soul Community Event — The Mississippi Golden Triangle Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. will host its annual, “Taste of the Soul” community event on Sunday, February 24, 2019 from 3:00 - 5:00pm at the Starkville Sports Complex. This year's program will feature keynote speaker, Secretary Mike Espy. Admission is free. This year's program will honor “The Queen of Soul,” Mrs. Aretha Franklin. A southern hat procession is one of this year's featured events. Members of the community are encouraged to participate. Let's see who has the fanciest hat in town! Arrive early and bring the family! Light refreshments will be served.
