With the sweep of Saturday's doubleheader, the Bulldogs are off to a much better start by winning the first three games of the season. Last year they dropped three games at Southern Mississippi.

MSU is scheduled to play UAB on Wednesday, weather permitting, then will get that rematch with the Golden Eagles at the new Dudy Noble Field next weekend. That will be a good measuring stick on where the Bulldogs stand early in the season.
