CLEVELAND – The Starkville Academy Volunteers battled back from a 1-0 deficit in their Class III playoff soccer match at Bayou Academy on Monday and won a 3-1 decision in overtime.
"We played hard and did a good job bouncing back after going down 1-0," Starkville Academy soccer coach Matthew Tremblay said. "We never gave up and fought to the end."

In overtime, Starkville Academy took the lead on an unassisted goal by Carson Couch and added some insurance when Grant Smith scored on a penalty kick.
