Gordmans prepares for Starkville grand opening
Known for low prices and a wide selection of wares, Gordmans, a part of the Stage community of stores, is preparing to open at Starkville Crossing.
Starkville is one of three new locations in Mississippi celebrating the store's Grand Opening Brand Celebration Bash on March 17 at 9 a.m.
Taking the location of the former Goody's store, also part of the Stage community, Monica Suggs, store general manager, said they have spent the last few months working to renovate the location.
“We are getting a lot of new products in and are working to making the store fresh and renovated for the citizens of Starkville,” Suggs said.
Suggs said the store offers a range merchandise from apparel to home decor, and she believes will be received well in our local market.
“It is gonna be basically all the fashion brands you love at a deeply discounted rate,” Suggs said. “It is an alternative for the shoppers of Starkville to get the items they want at a great price.”
As part of the brand's philosophy on giving back to the community, Suggs said they will be giving a $1,000 donation to Starkville High School.
“Just in the year so far, the organization has donated over a million dollars to schools at grand openings across the country,” Suggs said. “We picked Starkville High School because it is close to us and part of the district we are serving.”
Alongside presenting their donation to SHS, Suggs said they will also be giving away free gifts for the first 100 customers in line at the grand opening.
“I hope everyone in Starkville comes out to check out the store,” Suggs said. “We will be fully stocked with merchandise and will not disappoint our customers.”
