West Point resident wins auction benefiting library
Throughout the month of October, Starkville Daily News and Chalet Arts hosted an auction of a one-of-a-kind piece of Mississippi State baseball memorabilia that would benefit the Starkville
Public Library. The auction closed last Saturday, October 30 just one hour before the MSU football homecoming game against Kentucky kicked off and the MSU baseball team debuted their College World Series championship rings.
The highest bidder was none other than Stevan Black, a Mississippi State alum and West Point resident.
“My family has all gone to State, aside from two people, but their time dates back to when it was still Mississippi A&M,” Black said. “The
courses and flexibility that make a high-quality college education more accessible and convenient.”

course requirements, take classes within majors or pick up extra credits to accelerate graduation. They also can explore new subject areas, concentrate on difficult courses and benefit from smaller classes taught by MSU’S world-class faculty.
“Mississippi State continues
to look for ways to better serve students and provide an enriching and rewarding educational experience,” Keenum said. “Winter Express is an important part of our offerings that will move students another step closer to realizing their life and career dreams.”
