LAS VEGAS, Nevada – Mississippi State men's basketball is well represented with seven players at the 2023 NBA 2K24 Summer League in Las Vegas through July 17 at the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion.
Garrison Brooks (New Orleans Pelicans), Iverson Molinar (Milwaukee Bucks), Reggie Perry (Golden State Warriors), D.J. Stewart (Washington Wizards), Craig Sword (Golden State Warriors),
Quinndary Weatherspoon (Orlando Magic) and Robert Woodard II (Indiana Pacers) are all in action over the 11-day event.

Last Sunday in Las Vegas, Brooks tallied six points, six rebounds and two blocks during New Orleans Pelicans 94-86 victory over the Golden State Warriors. Stewart hit both of his field goal attempts as part of a 103-98 win for the Washington Wizards over the Boston Celtics.
Perry piled up 11 points on 5-of-8 shooting and grabbed 11 rebounds versus Los Angeles Lakers on Friday. Brooks secured nine points on 4-of-5 from the floor to go along with three rebounds, two assists and a block against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
At the California Classic, Perry and Sword combined for 14 points on 6-of-12 from the filed coupled with five rebounds and two steals versus the Sacramento Kings on July 3.
Women’s Tennis
The Mississippi State women's tennis program collected team and individual academic accolades for the 2022-23 season, announced on Monday by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
The Bulldogs boasted a 3.78 team GPA for the year, tied for the highest in team history. Women's tennis had the highest GPA of any sport at Mississippi State for the year.
Additionally, seven members of the MSU roster this past season were named ITA Scholar Athletes by maintaining a grade point average of 3.5 or better.
Emmanouela Antonaki, Maddie Bemisderfer and Gia Cohen all attained a 4.0 GPA for the year. Maddie Mckee reigned in a 3.97 for her senior year, while Maria Rizzolo collected a 3.87.
Chloé Cirotte and Emily Surcey were also selected as scholar athletes.
Antonaki, the Southeastern Conference Scholarathlete of the Year, was also selected to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-american first team and earned her master's degree in sport administration in May. It is the fourth time Antonaki has been honored as an ITA Scholar-athlete in her career.
Cirotte earned the ITA Scholar Athlete honor backto-back years, while this is the first honor for Mckee.
