Statesman Examiner

Woodland Theater to Host Local Artists

-

First of all, I would like to apologize to Hanna and Daniel for mixing up their last names in the article I wrote that was printed in the December 28th edition of the Statesman Examiner. Hannah Jackson and Daniel Heflick, please accept my sincerest apologies.

On January 13th at 7 p.m. Woodland Theater in Kettle Falls will be having a concert, “Roots and Reflections”, featuring 2 local composers/ musicians. Daniel Heflick, a Colville native, says “I have been playing the piano for over twenty- five years and writing my own muisic for more than fifteen of them.” His music is instrumental and theme driven and his musical projects follow multiple movements. Daniels adds, “… I am excited to be debuting a couple of pieces from my newest of such endeavors.” Hannah Jackson, from Ferry County, is a singer/ songwriter that has performed in several Woodland Theater productions. Hannah says, “…this is my first solo concert. I am pretty excited to be putting it in alongside one of the most talented painists I know, Daniel Heflick.” Hannah also plays the accousitic guitar with Indie and Folk music influences.

Hannah adds, “I can’t wait for you to hear my music!”

The concert will have original works from both artists and the highlight of the evening will be a collaboration featuring both artists. Tickets for the concert are $ 10 at the door and proceeds will go to help with the cost of tuition for Hannah who is attending Berklee College of Music in Boston. This is going to be a great event for the whole family. Let’s show these local artists our support and enjoy an evening of music with our friends and family!
