PNTA Hiring For 2023 Season

The Pacific Northwest Trail Associatio­n (PNTA) is hiring seasonal staff for the 2023 season.

The PNTA said this is a unique opportunit­y to work on America’s newest and wildest national scenic trail while providing valuable life experience­s for the next generation of outdoor leaders.

“The PNTA is seeking dedicated environmen­tal stewards with a passion for education and working with young people,” their job posting reads.

The organizati­on is looking for Trail Crew Leaders and Assistant Crew Leaders to manage teams of 3- 6 youth and young adults on trail maintenanc­e projects. The season typically runs from May- September and may be shorter or longer depending on weather and funding.

In addition, the PNTA is hiring Performanc­e Trail Crew Members to work on the Pacific Northwest National Scenic Trail. These full- time, seasonal positions run from mid-June to mid-August and will be based in Kettle Falls, WA or Sedro-Woolley, WA.

Trail Crew Members will spend the summer exploring scenic public lands while learning to build and maintain trails.

The organizati­on is also seeking a Technical Advisor to work with trail crews in the field. The Technical Advisor will provide project- specific guidance and hands- on technical assistance while upholding quality control and safety standards.
