Street Rodder - - Tech -

This Merc was a well-known custom in the ’70s when it was owned by the late Curly Tremayne from Monterey. Frank Morawski now owns it and it's been carefully restored to its '77 condition. Rick Lowman’s Autobody handled much of the bodywork. Richard and Brandon Glymph repainted the car, matching the paint from an unexposed area of the doorjamb. The Naugahyde upholstery and the Rod Powell–painted floral graphics on the dash are preserved original details. The top was chopped 3-1/2 inches in front and 5-1/2 in the back by Powell.

Other mods include the '53 Buick headlights and taillights and a ’63 Buick Wildcat grille. A Ford 312ci Y-block provides power to the newly restored custom.
