1935 FORD PICKUP | KENT KEYSER | PENRYN, CA

Street Rodder - - Tech -

Classic trucks weren’t so popular in 1967 when Kent’s father bought this ’35 Ford for $25. The truck was for Kent, then 14, who spent five years building it from pieces with his dad’s help. In 2012, he turned to Roseville Rod & Custom to rebuild the pickup. The original ’rails are equipped with a TCI frontend and parallel leaves in the rear. Finned valve covers and air cleaner add traditional flavor to the Chevy ZZ4. A TREMEC TKO five-speed and Currie 9-inch Posi rearend get the rear 15-inch Gennie wheels turning. The stock sheetmetal was shaved of driprails and finished with deep black PPG paint. Zebra wood was used for the bed floor. The interior is upholstered in oxblood leather.
