ANOTHER BLAZER APPROACHES GROUND ZERO

-

IF YOU SAW THE SPRING 2017 ISSUE OF THE C/10 BUILDER’S GUIDE, YOU NO DOUBT SAW OMAR DELGADO’S WILD ’70 C-10 ON THE COVER. For his next trick, he’s completely revamping a ’71 K5 Blazer, which wears a ’67 front clip.

Work will be performed by 3R Auto Body, Castro’s Custom and Way’s Customs. The whole body will be shaved and molded, with the windshield tilted back for a roadster look. Once finished, the Blazer will be wearing House of Kolor’s Cobalt Blue Kandy paint.

A complete ACME Chassis Factory Level 3 chassis will provide a solid foundation for the build, with Slam Specialties and AccuAir getting the frame off the ground when it’s time to roll. A narrowed Ford 9-inch and Wilwood brakes will sit just behind the 24x15 Specialty Forged

SS104 Sport Series billet wheels and 405/25R24 Pirelli tires. The front will wear matching Wilwoods and 24x9s with 255/30R24 Pirellis.

Based on Omar’s wheel choice, you’ll be glad to know that a built LSX is in the works; with Sanderson headers and a custom Carven exhaust working their way around the 4L80 tranny.

Once the majority of the exterior work is complete, Daniel’s Custom Upholstery and Auto Image Custom will handle the finishing touches with a one-off interior treatment. We’ve got our eyes on Omar’s build, and we hope to bring it to you in its completed form before long.
