Performance Hits Pavement

-

THIS ’90 CHEVROLET 454 SS BUILD GOES OUT OF THE WAY TO TRY TO BREAK THE MOLD. With its stock engine still in place, that’s the last that can be said for this Chevy.

With 30 bore, line hone and milled decks, the engine was given new life. Edelbrock heads,

intake, headers and water pump have been added, leaving nothing half-done. An Isky custom-grind camshaft milks the most out of the heart of this build with quality materials and performance. COMP Cams roller rockers do the same, providing an aggressive cam profile and using all of the power this baby puts out. KB pistons, MSD distributor, Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator, Powermaster starter and alternator, Yukon limited slip differential, 6AL

ignition box and wires round out the engine profile. Dynamic EFI programmable computer and Moroso pan with pickup can also be found in this reimagined compartment. On the back end, a Borla exhaust with Magnaflow cats and a custom side exit have this truck breathing right. On the inside, Auto Meter pillar gauges have been added.

The suspension received a Belltech 4- to 6-inch drop with Belltech front and rear sway bars for driver control and superior handling, and the whole build stands solid on 17x8 and 18x9 TTIIS wrapped in 235/60R17 and 265/60R18 Nitto tires. Brake Performance rotors and pads with Russell stainless lines keep the Chevy working clean. On the exterior, a Snugtop tonneau gives the truck a mean profile even as it keeps everything in order.
