20 Years Strong

THE FORBIDDEN FANTASY family, hands down, has created a rad show for everyone to enjoy year after year. In 2016, Brian Goude and his staff from Forbidden Fantasy Show & Shine presented by VIAIR changed the location of their well-known show from Lake Parris, California, to Laughlin, Nevada. After a successful first year, the location at Avi Casino became the new home of the Forbidden Fantasy Show (FFF). Friends and family come from all over the world—australia, Canada and even Japan—just to experience the event that’s been going for 20 years and counting for themselves.

Friday, March 31, 2017, at 1 p.m., the gates opened for roll-in to a few hundred eager mini-truckers. Day in and day out, people like Derek Marlatt from Negative Camber, Maxx Metcalfe from

Art of Noize and April Andrews of Laydiirest have been working on their rides to make it to a show that many people dream of attending.

FFF 2017 attracted more than a few thousand people from kids to retirees. Three hundred and twenty-five showcased vehicles, 455 sold-out rooms, and masses of campers and locals contributed to make the show a reality for the FFF staff. On Sunday, I spoke with a retiree named Dave who was enjoying the show. He was thrilled by the event and told me how much he admired the talent and hard work he was seeing on the grass that day.

After explaining our scene to him, he was excited to learn that the event would be at the Avi Casino again next year. He assured me that he would absolutely attend. It’s simple things like one man’s unadulterated enthusiasm that remind us to keep feeding our passion, because you never know who you’re inspiring.

Remember, FFF will be back in 2018. Keep an eye out for dates posted in the next few months, because space is limited. Visit the show on Instagram for more information, @fff_show. Congratulations on a successful 20 years!
