Now, for the moment we were all waiting for: the installation of the Ford’s new bench seat. It waited around all morning and into the afternoon, but the cab was finally worthy of its company.

The rest of the job was a cakewalk; it was just a matter of bolting down the bench. You can see how annoying this part potentially could have been if the guys hadn’t exposed the mounting points in the floor.

In the time between breakfast and lunch, and a couple hours from dinner, the guys outfitted the cab to an almost unrecognizable level. The plush carpet and bench seat make a much more comfortable and welcoming environment. The door panels and dash pad do their part in extending that comfort area up front and at both sides. The truck itself is still a work in progress, but it’s definitely headed in the right direction with the VIP league interior upgrades from TMI. As you just witnessed, the installation is straight forward, but it does take time to make sure things line up properly, especially in the door since multiple holes must be drilled. TMI makes a job like this as easy as possible with model-specific kits. The hard part is choosing the material.
