Only a Few Lifted Trucks in the Book, and This One Topped Them All!

ANOTHER TOUGH CHOICE FOR THIS YEAR’S BEST OF AWARDS CAME DOWN TO THE LIFTED TRUCK SELECTION. We didn’t feature too many lifted trucks last year, which we will address this year. The level of build quality we demand in a lifted truck is hard to attain, so you know the best of the best has to be unbelievab­le. We feel we made the right choice, but we promise some of you probably disagree. Either way, we present the Street Trucks 2020 Lifted Truck of the Year, Aim High.

Growing up 30 years ago was a lot different than it is today. Without cell phones and social media, the younger generation was harder to influence. You had to do big things to get small reactions back then, and creating a memorable impact was near impossible. Only a handful of commercial­s and a few dozen products embedded themselves into our brain’s deep storage—including a lifted Squarebody Chevy on 40-inch tires that was crowned with KC lights. Those trucks were the most popular ones on the road and at every late-night get-together. All the cool guys had one, and all the ladies wanted a ride.

If it was cool back then, how cool would a modern version of the same style look today? After searching the truck shows and talking with some of the owners, including Jeremy Logsdon of Charlotte, North Carolina, we think we’ve found our answer. As he told us about his truck and the inspiratio­n behind its design and setup, it was clear that he was thinking the same thing we were, only he actually went out and built it!

Being a full-time business owner of the Wheel and Tire Exchange during the day, Jeremy sees all the trends come and go through his shop. He knows what enthusiast­s like, he knows what the dreamers could think up, and he knows what has been done already. This advantage gave him a clear path when he unveiled this ’17 Chevy Silverado.

The Deep Ocean blue paint is stunning right off the bat, but when you notice the standard cab and short bed combo on a massive modern truck, your mind just wants to know more. If you’re
