Missouri farmland value rises by $340 an acre
lenders, rural appraisers, and AGfarmers in Missouri say good farmland is worth an average $5,217 an acre as of July, an increase of $340 or 7% from 2017, says the University of Missouri. Irrigated farmland was worth a bit more ($5,514 an acre), according to the web-based survey. It was the first time that irrigated cropland was part of the survey.
Respondents were surprised at the rise in farmland values. They expect values to decline marginally in the year ahead.
