Will you go as Wonder Bread Woman? Perhaps as a Demogorgon from “Stranger Things” or as Thanos from ”Avengers: Infinity War”? Or will this be the year you dress up as Crazy Cat Lady, wearing a leopard-print dress with a dozen kittens clinging on for dear life?

Why not all the above? Halloween in South Florida is an embarrassment of costume contests and zombie walks, monster crawls and haunted houses, music bashes and other occasions for homegrown terror.

From Night of 1,000 Chers in Fort Lauderdale to Fright Nights in West Palm Beach, we count 10 ways South Florida is getting its freak on in October.
