See­ing stars; sip and shop dur­ing Starlight’s ‘Hats& Hand­bags’ event

Starlight Chil­dren’s Foun­da­tion will host its an­nual “Hats & Hand­bags, A Clas­sic English Af­ter­noon Tea pre­sented by Rick Case Au­to­mo­tive Group” on May 6 be­gin­ning at 1 p.m. at the Diplo­mat Golf Re­sort & Spa lo­cated in Hal­lan­dale Beach.

The fes­tiv­i­ties will be­gin with a bou­tique sale where guests can shop for hand­bags, jew­elry, shoes and home goods. The event will also fea­ture food, tea, live en­ter­tain­ment by singer Ju­lia Dale and a per­for­mance by dancers fromthe Astrid Audet Academy of Bal­let.

“The date for the tea is per­fect - the week­end be­fore Mother’s Day makes it a great op­por­tu­nity to spend some ex­tra time with mom or even pick up a spe­cial gift,” said event com­mit­tee mem­ber Bar­bara Day.
