Hit me with your best shot: ‘Kathie’s Classic’ to keep it classic since1985
HANDY will host its annual golf tournament followed by a wine and dine evening. The two-day event, “Kathie’s Classic,” is named in honor ofHANDY’s founding chairwoman, Kathie Zier, and celebratesHANDY’s 28-year legacy.
Take a trip down memory lane at the wine dinner as guests dress in black, white or red cocktail attire themed “Keeping It Classic Since 1985.”
HANDY’s 2013 honorees include: HANDY Hero, Chad Moss; King of Hearts, Jen Klaassens; Queen of Hearts, LucyWeber; Prince Charming, Al Lamberti; HANDY’s Princess, Nikki Jackson-Akers; and a Kid’s Choice Award to be determined byHANDY’s youth, announced at the wine dinner.

The tournament will take place at the Fort Lauderdale Country Club Feb. 28. The day will include lunch, a putting contest, 18 holes of golf, complimentary beverages on the course and an awards ceremony. The wine dinner, at The Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort, will include wines and featured liquors fromPremier Beverage paired with gourmet menu items for an elegant and intimate evening. The evening will culminate with a dessert buffet, music and cigars on the veranda overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. This evening event will take place March 1, the night after the tournament.
