Deb­bie’s Dream Foun­da­tion: Cur­ing Stomach Cancer (DDF), a non­profit or­ga­ni­za­tion that raises aware­ness and funds for stomach cancer, will host its fifth an­nual “Dream Mak­ers Gala” April 26 at 7 p.m. at the Fort Laud­erdale Mar­riott Har­bor Beach Re­sort & Spa.

The evening will fea­ture a cock­tail hour, din­ner, silent and live auc­tions, dancing and dessert. Auc­tion items in­clude unique ex­pe­ri­ences, sports me­mora­bilia, jew­elry, din­ing, va­ca­tions and travel.

For the sec­ond con­sec­u­tive year David Ku­bil­iun of Ku­bil­iun & As­so­ciates will be the event chair­man. Event spon­sors in­clude Rick Case Au­to­mo­tive Group, Lilly, Sheridan Healthcorp Inc., Ross and Liz Tan­nen­baum, Deb­bie Zel­man, Andrew Guttman, Janet Davis and Carol Har­ri­son.

Zel­man founded the or­ga­ni­za­tion in 2009 af­ter be­ing di­ag­nosed with stage IV stomach cancer. DDF works to bring at­ten­tion to the dis­ease, spread­ing the word about early de­tec­tion and screen­ing. The foun­da­tion raises aware­ness about stomach cancer, ad­vances fund­ing for re­search, and pro­vides ed­u­ca­tion and sup­port pa­tients, fam­i­lies and care­givers.
