Making dreams a reality Debbie’s Dream Foundation: Curing Stomach Cancer’s gala to raise funds for individuals with stomach cancer
Debbie’s Dream Foundation: Curing Stomach Cancer (DDF), a nonprofit organization that raises awareness and funds for stomach cancer, will host its fifth annual “Dream Makers Gala” April 26 at 7 p.m. at the Fort Lauderdale Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa.
The evening will feature a cocktail hour, dinner, silent and live auctions, dancing and dessert. Auction items include unique experiences, sports memorabilia, jewelry, dining, vacations and travel.
For the second consecutive year David Kubiliun of Kubiliun & Associates will be the event chairman. Event sponsors include Rick Case Automotive Group, Lilly, Sheridan Healthcorp Inc., Ross and Liz Tannenbaum, Debbie Zelman, Andrew Guttman, Janet Davis and Carol Harrison.
Zelman founded the organization in 2009 after being diagnosed with stage IV stomach cancer. DDF works to bring attention to the disease, spreading the word about early detection and screening. The foundation raises awareness about stomach cancer, advances funding for research, and provides education and support patients, families and caregivers.
