‘Las Olas Wine and Food Festival’ returns to Fort Lauderdale
The 19th annual “Las Olas Wine and Food Festival” returns to Fort Lauderdale May 2 from 7:30 to 10 p.m. on Las Olas Boulevard, between SE 6th Avenue and SE 11th Avenue. The wine and culinary event will feature four city blocks of food, wine and fun. Proceeds from the street festival will benefit the American Lung Association.
“The ‘Las Olas Wine and Food Festival’ has become one of the most high-profile and eagerly anticipated charity events in South Florida, and has helped raise hundreds of thousands for critical local and national lung health programs,” said Cariann Moore, area director of the American Lung Association in Florida. “Proceeds raised help save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease through our education, advocacy and research efforts.”
Some sponsors for the event include Premier Beverage Company, Bombay Sapphire Gin, LaMarca Prosecco, William Hill Estate Winery and Shellback Caribbean Rum, Stranahan House Museum, JM Lexus, Blackstone Media Group, Las Olas Association, Mercantil Commercebank, Greystar, The Las Olas Company, Broward Health, Memorial Healthcare System, QuinnProQuo, United States Sommelier Association and The Discount Liquor Group.
The Bombay Sapphire Gin lounge will provide an ultimate cocktail experience with a trendy atmosphere, while the Shellback Caribbean Hut will offer rum cocktails and the Fashion Honors Group of The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale will host a couture fashion show.
