Bank of America Charitable Foundation
The Bank of America Charitable Foundation has awarded more than $500,000 in grants to 44 nonprofits throughout South Florida.
These nonprofits are focused on providing financial education and job skills to low- and middle-income individuals and families as well as support for small businesses. The grants will impact 13,949 individuals in Broward County.
Among the nonprofits receiving the grants are: ARC Broward; Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County; Metro-Broward Economic Development Corporation; Junior Achievement of South Florida; Take Stock in Children of Broward County; PACE Center for Girls; Jack and Jill Children’s Center; The Broward Education Foundation; Big Brothers Big Sisters of Broward; HANDY; and Broward SCORE Chapter.
“These nonprofits connect the unemployed and underemployed to the training and education they need to land better paying jobs,” said Lori Chevy, Broward County market president for Bank of America. “Without these services a big part of our community would continue to struggle and remain below the poverty line.”
