FedEx Express team members in Miami and Fort Lauderdale celebrated the company’s annual FedEx Cares campaign by volunteering their time to assist HANDY Inc.

More than 100 FedEx volunteers helped with improvement projects that will enhance HANDY Inc.’s youth programs and educational facilities. “The FedEx Cares campaign is just one of the many ways that FedEx supports the communities where our team members live and work,” said Julio Barrionuevo, senior vice president operations of FedEx Express Latin America & Caribbean Division. “We are happy to have helped HANDY so they can continue to embrace, educate and empower youth in our community.”

FedEx Cares Week serves as the formal kick-off to the annual FedEx Cares United Way volunteer campaign and celebrates the spirit of volunteerism, collaboration and community at FedEx. More than 10,000 FedEx team members from around the world will volunteer more than 55,000 hours to celebrate the 11th anniversary of FedEx Cares Week.
