Canine Assisted Therapy
Canine Assisted Therapy has launched a Best Furry Friend Campaign, running through April 11. Pet lovers everywhere are invited to create a paw-ticipant page with a story and photo of their BFF. Friends and family of each participant will cast their votes for the 2016 BFF. Every $1 donation equals one vote.
The campaign will raise awareness and funds to help provide more therapy dogs to veterans, children with special needs, cancer patients and youth in foster facilities among others.
Canine Assisted Therapy is a nonprofit pet therapy program operating in more than 75 facilities throughout South Florida. The mission of CAT is to enhance the quality of life and well-being of those it serves, as well as achieve specific physical, cognitive, social or emotional goals through animal assisted therapy and activities.
