Ca­nine As­sisted Ther­apy has launched a Best Furry Friend Cam­paign, run­ning through April 11. Pet lovers ev­ery­where are in­vited to cre­ate a paw-tic­i­pant page with a story and photo of their BFF. Friends and fam­ily of each par­tic­i­pant will cast their votes for the 2016 BFF. Ev­ery $1 do­na­tion equals one vote.

The cam­paign will raise aware­ness and funds to help pro­vide more ther­apy dogs to veter­ans, chil­dren with spe­cial needs, can­cer pa­tients and youth in foster fa­cil­i­ties among oth­ers.

Ca­nine As­sisted Ther­apy is a non­profit pet ther­apy pro­gram op­er­at­ing in more than 75 fa­cil­i­ties through­out South Florida. The mis­sion of CAT is to en­hance the qual­ity of life and well-be­ing of those it serves, as well as achieve spe­cific phys­i­cal, cog­ni­tive, so­cial or emo­tional goals through an­i­mal as­sisted ther­apy and ac­tiv­i­ties.
