Storm victims received airlifted supplies of diapers, clothing and other necessities on Nov. 3 when a DHL Express helicopter made the first of several relief missions.
The company brought critical supplies to the most hurricane- stricken areas of Staten Island and Baldwin Harbor in New York after Sandy ripped through the area.
Nearly 12,000 pounds of goods were distributed from its hangar in Long Island, N. Y.
The coordinated effort included aviation partner
East End Helicopter and local community outreach. Relief flights continued through Nov. 5.
In addition, an employeebased collection drive continues to support colleagues in the Northeast with clothing, winter coats, non perishable food, blankets, water and other items.

South Florida Spanish language radio listeners and television viewers can help with donations to support deliveries of supplies and medical aid in the hardest- hit areas of New York and NewJersey.
The media company’s 22 Spanish- language stations in theU. S. and Puerto Rico will be encouraging donations by phone, text message or Internet for the
AmeriCares Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund during its “Hispanos Unidos” three- day fundraising drive, which runs through Friday.
In South Florida, radio stations Cima 106.3 FM, DJ106.7 FM and Z92.3 FM are participating as well as television stationWSBS.

The digital advertising agency and affiliate network is hosting a clothing drive to benefit storm victims in the Northeast. Chief executive officer
Brandon Rosen has urged employees, residents and local businesses to bring clothing items to 1800 S Federal Highway, Suite 245B in Delray Beach.
“I am asking everyone to join our efforts to help out those who may have lost everything to Hurricane Sandy,” saidRosen in a statement.
