Here’s what will be open and closed in Broward County on Monday, Labor Day.

GOVERNMENT/ SCHOOLS

Federal, state, health department offices and health centers, county and municipal offices will be closed. Public schools, Nova Southeaste­rn University, Florida Atlantic University and Broward College will be closed.

SERVICES

Stock markets, post offices and banks will be closed. There will be no regular mail delivery.

Broward County’s Animal Care and Adoption Center will be closed. In the event of animal attack or bite, call 911. To report injured animals, call 954- 765- 5124. For lost or found cats or dogs, call 954- 359- 1313, ext. 9273.

The Broward County Bulk Waste Drop- Off Centers and the Southwest Regional Landfill at 7101 SW 205th Ave. in Fort Lauderdale will be closed.

Garbage pickup will follow regular schedules.

ENTERTAINM­ENT

The county library system will be closed. Deerfield Island Park will be closed.

Broward County regional and neighborho­od parks, nature centers and natural areas will be open. The regional parks’ holiday gate entrance fee of $ 1.50 per person ( children 5 and younger free) will be in effect.

TRANSPORTA­TION

SHOPPING

Supermarke­ts and malls will be open regular hours.
