Alexander Berger, 25, of Coconut Creek, tried to sneak into the gated community where West Boca- based golf proMorgan Pressel lives, according to police.

A Coconut Creek man said golfer Jack Nicklaus and the government made him stalk accomplished West Boca- based golf pro Morgan Pressel, according to a Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office arrest report.

Alexander Berger, 25, arrested in 2009 for stalking Pressel, was arrested again Wednesday after trying to sneak into the gated community where she lives. A restraining order against Berger requires him to stay at least 500 feet from Pressel or her home in the St. Andrews Country Club, according to the report.

Deputies say Berger harassed Pressel through Twitter messages on Sept. 20.

He then tried to sneak into the country club on Wednesday, telling a security guard hewas a guest and Pressel’s boyfriend, according to the report. Aware of the restraining order against Berger, the security guard called sheriff ’ s deputies. As deputies put the accused stalker in handcuffs, he said he had only wanted to speak to Pressel and was told to do this by professional golfer Jack Nicklaus and the CIA, an officer wrote in the report.

Deputies later talked with Pressel, who said she never met or had a relationship with Berger and that he’s been trying to contact her for the past four years.

State records show at least six previous arrests for Berger dating back to 2007, with charges including trespassing and contempt of court.

He also was arrested in 2010 and 2012 for stalking, according to the report.

Berger faces charges of aggravated stalking and contempt of court, and was booked into Palm Beach County Jail, where he remains in lieu of $ 100,000 bail.

Pressel’s agent, Chris Armstrong, declined to comment on the ongoing legal matter.
