Strengthening ties to Palm Beach County’s United Way
Who: United Way of Palm Beach County recently promoted Alexia Savage to the new position of senior vice president of communications and resource development. The move is an extension of the role she has filled for the last three years as vice president of marketing and brand management. She has been responsible for a partnership with the Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties in the Great Give, a 24-hour online fundraising event that raised $2.2 million for 330 nonprofits. She recently won two awards from Gold Coast Public Relations Council for her work on the Great Give and received national recognition from Give Local America.

Industry wisdom: If you aren’t growing and changing and learning or trying new things, you stagnate. I think that applies to organizations as well as individuals.
