Swimwear retailer opens in Pompano

A Brazilian swimwear brand has opened its first U.S. store in Pompano Beach.

Despi Beachwear, at 3322 E. Atlantic Blvd., offers women’s swimsuits with hand-stitched embellishm­ents such as semi-precious stones, leather and Swarovski crystals.

Despi Beachwear’s selection includes full-cut and Brazilian cut pieces, all inspired by the colors and lifestyle of Rio de Janeiro.

Custom T-shirt store opens in Hollywood

Big Frog Custom T-Shirts & More, a company that prints designs on clothing, tote bags and other accessorie­s, has opened a shop in Hollywood. The store is at 1614 Sheridan St. Big Frog offers customers the ability to print custom designs on hoodies, tank tops, onesies, mouse pads and other accessorie­s.

Big Frog in Hollywood is run by franchisee Jason Billie, a Hollywood native.

Burger restaurant opening in Delray Beach

A California burger chain is expanding to Florida with the opening of a new restaurant in Delray Beach.

Habit Burger Grill is set to open Wednesday at Delray Place, a new shopping center on the southeast corner of Linton Boulevard and Federal Highway.

Habit Burger will bring to South Florida its signature burgers chargrille­d over an open flame, tuna steak sandwiches, French fries, onion rings and sweet potato fries.

Delray Beach’s Habit Burger is at 1831 S. Federal Highway.

Boca to receive another Pei Wei restaurant

Boca Raton is getting another Pei Wei restaurant.

The chain serving sushi rolls, Asian chopped chicken salads and Vietnamese chicken salad rolls, plans to open June 29 at 9982 Glades Road, within the Westwinds of Boca shopping plaza.

Pei Wei’s menu also includes iced teas, wine, domestic and Asian beers.

The upcoming eatery is expected to employ 50 people and be Boca Raton’s third Pei Wei.

Applebee’s to remodel, reopen in Delray Beach

Applebee’s plans to unveil Thursday a remodeled restaurant in Delray Beach.

The restaurant at 15058 Jog Road will close Monday and reopen Thursday featuring a community-themed concept that celebrates schools, nonprofits and first responders within the Delray Beach community.

Pope John Paul II High School, Lynn University and Palm Beach Atlantic University are among those to be recognized at the restaurant. The 5,206-square-foot eatery’s updated features include new booths, 15 flat panel TV screens, new lighting and signage.
