Broomball is similar to ice hockey, but special “sponge-bottom” sneakers are worn and a ball is used instead of a puck. Rules include a non-contact provision to minimize injuries. CROQUET

The Palm Beach County Summer Golf Croquet League seeks players of all ages for its upcoming season. The summer schedule, which begins July 7 and runs for five weeks, will include games at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays at the National Croquet Club in West Palm Beach.
