Broomball is similar to ice hockey, but special “sponge-bottom” sneakers are worn and a ball is used instead of a puck. Rules include a non-contact provision to minimize injuries. The Palm Beach County Summer Golf Croquet League seeks players of all ages for its upcoming season. The summer schedule, which begins July 7 and runs for five weeks, will include games at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays at the National Croquet Club in West Palm Beach. Golf croquet is an alternating, single-shot version of the game. A complimentary lesson will be offered from1-3 p.m. June 27.
