That’s the ticket!
Former ‘SNL’ star Jon Lovitz comes to South Florida for a weekend of comedy.
Despite what the “Saturday Night Live” 40th anniversary special’s “In Memoriam” segment told you last February, Jon Lovitz is still very much alive. Last in South Florida for Chris Evert’s Pro-Celebrity Tennis Classic at the Delray Beach Tennis Center, the comedian and racket enthusiast will serve a three-night stand starting Friday night at Fort Lauderdale Improv (5700 Seminole Way, Hollywood). Facing bankruptcy more than a decade ago, Lovitz opted to try standup for the first time, and has co-headlined tours with fellow “SNL” alums Tim Meadows and Chris Kattan. Lovitz will perform 8 p.m. Friday, 7 and 9:45 p.m. Saturday and 7 p.m. Sunday at the comedy club. 954-981-5653 or FtL.Improv.com.
