Possible relocations could create more than 100 jobs
Broward County Commission will consider job-growth incentives Tuesday for a firearms manufacturing firm looking to relocate potentially in Pompano Beach and a logistics company considering an expansion in Dania Beach.
The firearms manufacturer, currently located outside Florida, is dubbed “Project 762” for competitive purposes. The company would create 54 jobs with an average salary of $51,255 and make an estimated capital investment of $3 million. If confirmed, the company could receive $162,000 in tax refunds, with $16,200 each from the county and the city.
The Dania Beach company, dubbed “Project Red,” would create 60 jobs and make an estimated capital investment of $600,000. The company could receive $36,000 in tax refunds from both the county and city.
