President to give eulogy in S.C.

The White House says President Barack Obama will travel to Charleston, S.C., on Friday to memorialize the nine victims of a shooting at a historic black church.

Obama will deliver the eulogy at the funeral services of the Rev. Clementa Pinckney, pastor of Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church and a state senator.

Obama and first lady Michelle Obama got to know the slain pastor during the 2008 presidential campaign.
