Claire’s tip of the week: Today’s tip comes from Boynton Beach resident Rhoda Schneider, who was kind enough to share her Cream cheese pie recipe. To get an even pie crust, whether you’re making a graham cracker or cookie crumb crust, put the crumb mixture into your pie plate then spread it around the plate. Place another pie plate on top of the crumbs and press firmly to distribute evenly.

The soup recipe has been handed down from Chef Fabiano Lazzari’s mother, Mariella. You can taste the authentici­ty and the love.

A: Any recipe that has “The Bomb” in the title piques my interest. And you can never have too many dessert recipes that don’t require an oven, especially as temperatur­es start to soar in South Florida. The addition of vanilla pudding adds a nice twist to a traditiona­l cheesecake recipe. Thank you, Rhoda, for helping solve Betty’s conundrum.
