New Ann Coulter immigration book a bit short on facts
As a Broward immigration lawyer, I take exception to Ann Coulter’s new book “¡Adios, America!” She argues that the U.S. is becoming, in her words, a hellhole because our immigration policy welcomes criminals. It makes me want to write a how-to book for those supposed offenders: “No More Señor Nice Guy — Fighting for Your Green Card.”
The first section would be about winning legal permanent residency through asylum. For example, the applicants could claim belief in a religion whose adherents are seriously harmed abroad. Albert Einstein received a green card this way. The second part would explain how to fool immigration into believing that the foreigner is a multinational executive. Like, the CEO of PepsiCo, Indra Nooyi.
Of course, the final section would be reserved for getting legal permanent residency through the Violence Against Women Act. Coulter detests that our country is becoming an abuse shelter for the world. Yet, foreign victims like Rihanna, Charlize Theron, Shakira, Kate Moss and Carlos Santana add so much to our culture.
Perhaps I should avoid truths about famous immigrants. After all, Coulter’s book is selling nicely without any facts.
