Rangers: 3B Adrian Beltre was activated after missing 19 games because of a sprained left thumb. Beltre said Sunday it was still painful to swing a bat and he didn’t know when he could play.
All-Stars: MLB home run leader Giancarlo Stanton is back in position to start the All-Star Game. The Marlins slugger rose from fourth to second in voting for NL outfielders, joining the Nationals’ Bryce Harper and the Cardinals’ Matt Holliday.
