Four shot to death in home
Police are investigating four people found inside home on Saturday.
Two women, a toddler and a 9-year-old boy were found shot dead inside the residence in the 4600 block of Chariot Circle, according to police.
The discovery was made by a friend at about noon, according to Greenacres police Lt. Brady Myers.
“That friend told authorities they had not been accounted for since Friday evening,” the lieutenant said of the three women.
Police said at least four people were living in the house. They declined to give out names of the deceased, pending notification of next of kin.
The approximate ages of the female victims are 60, 30 and 2, said Myers.
The police said they are not looking for suspects at this time.
A group of young adults and small children gathered at the edge of yellow police tape in the neighborhood of duplexes, at times weeping and hugging each other.
Neighbors said the two women had lived in the neighborhood for about five years and they were believed to be mother, daughter and grandmother.
“This is terrible,” said Annarita Wenhold, who has lived in the neighborhood for 40 years. “This is the first time we’ve ever had anything like this.”
Tiffany Hise, who lived two houses down from the deceased for three years, said the house was the quietest one of the street. “Except for us,” she said.
Maria Menjivar, 59, lives across the street from where the bodies were found. She gasped when she heard the news.
“I’ve seen that baby on she said. “This is no good.”
Police tape kept cars from circulating around the circle. At one point, late in the afternoon, investigators put plastic coverings on their shoes.
Late Saturday stretchers carrying the deceased could be seen being removed from the home and loaded onto a van.
